Confirm the concept and feasibility of the doppler velocimeter on SensEdu.
All calculations should be presented as MATLAB scripts in project folder.
Dependencies
- Sub Issue of Ultrasonic Doppler Velocimeter #32
Tasks
- Review Doppler theory and representative application systems (e.g., medical Doppler ultrasonography)
- Select burst-CW Doppler to mitigate transmitter-receiver coupling
- Derive expected Doppler shifts for a 33 kHz carrier in air for target velocities of 2-20 km/h
- Verify feasibility at distances of 2–5 m under near-ideal geometry (θ ≈ 0-25°)
- Document theory, all calculations, assumptions, and feasibility conclusions
