Mod doesn't work with Minecraft Education Edition

Current behaviour

After doing the /tag @s add worldedit in Minecraft Education Edition there is no change (apart from the tag obviously) and none of the WorldEdit commands work. I am unsure if this is an issue or if the mod does not function properly on Minecraft Education Edition.

Expected behaviour

I want the WorldEdit commands to function as per normal.

I am using the WorldEdit 0.9.0 to be compatible with the version of Minecraft that is currently available through Minecraft Education Edition
