What is the maximum file size supported by BMFS?

I'm attempting to add docker binary to the bmfs but after adding it bmfs recognizes the file but file size is shown as zero.

The maximum size allowed for a file in BMFS is 70,368,744,177,664 bytes (64 TiB).

How were these files added to BMFS and how big are they?

I do see a potential issue with bmfs when just doing a write instead of create and write. I'll look into that.

Keep in mind that by default the disk image is only 128 MiB.

I got error that they can't fit inside bmfs. Hence edited bmfs.c

and again the same question, how feasible is the idea of making docker work here? If that will take too much effort for me(with a very little understanding of how low level things work). I know basic assembly(x86) and c.

You would have needed to create a larger disk file. This is done on line 50 of baremetal.sh.

As for these docker files... did you compile them specifically for BareMetal somehow? If those are linux binaries (ELF) then they won't work. This all depends on what Docker needs for a kernel level API.

Ok, I'll increase the disk img size. No I didn't compile docker for BMOS but copied Linux ELF downloaded from the link that you gave on mail.
Next step: I'll attempt to build docker by using the options that were used in demo apps repo? or work on adapting docker with BareMetal?

This all depends on what Docker needs for a kernel level API.

Also, does BMOS has a process manager. I assume it is unikernel and avoids context switching(no ISR?)
Collecting all srcs, adapt and compile with libbaremetal seems like the next step? Please guide.

I should've read the wiki first. I see that its like re-inventing the wheel. I understand that docker needs the linux kernl(process, threads, namespace and cgroups). Please close this as answered as the actual question was for the max size supported by BMFS.
