Add return carriage option for user_info

Feature request to add a return carriage option for user_info so for e.g. progress indications can be updated without flooding the display and losing previously printed directions to operator.

Alternative easy fix to add a manual option to the clear the active window like the GUI already has a manual image clear option. But this doesn't completely solve the issue. (i.e. would need to manually write the direction and progress each time)
