  • Issue at: Chapter number: 5

  • Section number: 5.8 referencing figures 5.12a-d

Section issue picture:

image
  • Original text:

What interesting features are evident in the poverty and unemployment rate intensity maps in Figure 5.12 (c) and Figure 5.12 (d)?

- Suggestion for corrected text:

The example text should be indicating to take a look at the poverty map [figure 5.12(a)] and the unemployment rate map [figure 5.12(b)], instead of [Figure 5.12 (c)] (which is the homeownership rate, and Figure 5.12 (d)] (Median household income)

  • Justification for suggestion: Since the example question is referencing poverty and unemployement map, the figure redirection should redirect users to the correct map question is referencing.

Further clarification of issue:

Hello IMS team, I can't thank you enough for a wonderful resource this book has been to students. Thank you so much for all your wonderful work on this.

I am looking through the chapters and noticed in Chapter 5, section 5.8 Example question: "What interesting features are evident in the poverty and unemployment rate intensity maps in Figure 5.12 (c) and Figure 5.12 (d)?"

the question is asking to view the povery and unemployment heat maps, but when you mouse over to the figure it shows the homeownership and median household income maps instead.
