Describe the problem in content or desired feature
In NAACCR, certain ICDO3 codes may mapped to multiple schema. The only way to determine the real schema is through Site Specific Factor (SSF) 25.

For example, C16.1/C16.2 both maps to Stomach and EsophagusGEJunction (EGJ). The decision to determine the schema is through the value of SSF 25.

SSF25 and its values are recorded in the NAACR vocab. However, it is missing the schema mapping.

How to find it

Here's an example.

SSF25 for Stomach is mapped to concept stomach@2879. One of the possible answer for this concept is Esophagus or EGJ involved AND distance of tumor midpoint from EGJ 5 cm or less. However, with this answer, NAACCR says that the true schema should be esophagus_gejunction, not stomach. This information is missing in the NAACR vocabulary today.

Expected adjustments

I suspect that we need to add in new Concept Relationship records to include this missing information. Currently, these concept_codes are affected.

bile_ducts_distal@2879
bile_ducts_perihilar@2879
cystic_duct@2879
esophagus_gejunction@2879
lacrimal_gland@2879
lacrimal_sac@2879
melanoma_ciliary_body@2879
melanoma_iris@2879
nasopharynx@2879
peritoneum@2879
peritoneum_female_gen@2879
pharyngeal_tonsil@2879
stomach@2879

Screenshots
Here's a screenshot of a problematic record - Stomach / EGJ SSF25.

There should be a relationship in this record that indicates the schema differentiator should point to esophagus_gejunction.

@askldjd, sorry for staying silent for two weeks.

The best starting point for you would be visiting Oncology WG to define changes and find the resources to update the mentioned vocabularies.

OMOP CDM Oncology- Vocabulary /Development Subgroup: Thursday, Sept. 19 at 9am ET (Meeting Link)
Meetings are traditionally scheduled for the 1st Thursday of the month at 1pm EST and the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9am ET

Copying from upcoming workgroup calls.

Shortly, we need to find resources to update NAACCR and ICDO3, please follow the Roadmap wiki page.
