On top of all that, all entrants who produce a substantially interesting Skynet application or upgrade will win a consolation prize of 7500 SC each.

Challenge Description

Build a next generation Skynet app or Skynet developer tool. Your hack must include the ability to either upload or download from Skynet (or both!) as a core feature or be a developer tool/library that makes developing on Skynet easier.

Skynet is the decentralized CDN and file sharing platform for devs and the storage foundation for a Free Internet! Building on Skynet was designed to be easy. There several SDKs that allow for easy integration into any application which immediately allow the application to upload and download content from Skynet.

Additionally Skynet supports hosting react applications. which means you can create a react app and upload it to Skynet to create a Skapp!

Submission Requirements

• The project must be open source
• Skynet must be a fundamental element of the application.
• The app must do something that is useful and interesting.
• Demo videos are strongly recommended for complete submissions (upload your videos to Skynet!)

• Apps similar to those in the Skynet App Store
• Games hosted on Skynet
• Skynet storage for tools like send.firefox.com
• Mobile integrations
• Migrating existing apps from https://awesome.ipfs.io/ to Skynet
• Graphic map of the entire Skynet ecosystem
• Browser extension / plugin to automatically resolve handshake names to Skynet apps and sites when put into the url bar
• An app to help users deploy web pages to Skynet using handshake domains
• An app to help users publish blog posts to Skynet using handshake domains
• An explorer / search engine to find all of the apps and sites published on handshake and skynet - should be possible using the handshake blockchain
• App to utilize encrypted filesharing
• An aggregation app that tracks your friend’s domains and builds a feed as they submit content
• Decentralized RSS feed for content on Skynet + Handshake
• Skynet integration for https://dappnode.io/
• Wetransfer clone: upload file that is automatically deleted after 7 days. You get a message/email when a file is downloaded
• Escrow: your client puts crypto in escrow that is released when you upload a file. A link is automatically shared with the client

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be judged on the following:

• How applicable the application is and how likely it is to be used by others
• How involved or difficult the application is will not be considered. If a very useful and interesting app can be created with very little effort, this app will still qualify for the grand prize and all other prizes.
• Potential positive impact on the Skynet ecosystems
• Works on mainnet
