Description of issue

The exosuit maneuvering device seems to not function at all when attached and used in space

Difference between expected and actual behavior

Expected:Jetpack mode on exo
Actual:fly out the airlock and die in space

Steps to reproduce

Attach maneuvering device to exo, walk out airlock, activate and try to move around

Exosuit

Length of time in which bug has been known to occur

A few weeks as far as I know

Client version, Server revision & Game ID

Client Version: 515
Server Revision: 42ac599 - main - 2024-07-20
Game ID: cuN-dpRY
Current map: Tradepost Mollusc

Issue bingo

  • Issue could be reproduced at least once
  • Issue could be reproduced by different players
  • Issue could be reproduced in multiple rounds
  • Issue happened in a recent (less than 7 days ago) round
  • Couldn't find an existing issue about this

Ough exosuit jetpacks (/obj/item/mech_equipment/ionjets for my own reference later) are some cursed code. This will need a bit of work.
