NB 40.1 RX5700XT Ubuntu20.04.3 trouble

I didn't see any other posts that really fit what is occurring but, I only skimmed the threads. I'm also pretty new to mining in Linux, let alone Ubuntu.

NBMiner 40.1 ETH mining
amdgpu-pro 21.30 (The only one I could get to fully install in 20.04.3)
XFX RX 5700 XT factory settigns card.

Every time I attempt to getmy miner going, I get the "Devices initialize failed" error

This is literally the extent of the log I get. I do see that my card is not registering. Here's a link to the guide I followed to get where I am:

Only things I did different is no --headless when installing amdgpu-pro, amdgpu-pro-21.30 instead of amdgpu-pro-20.40 and that's pretty much it.

Anyone have the foggiest idea of what I'm doing wrong?

not a linux expert but nbminer is not seeing any gpus on your system. I'd say the driver/software for the gpu is your trouble.

Thank you for responding. I forgot to come back and say, I figured this out. I needed ROCm before it would recognize I had a GPU.

Missing ROCm. Installed and everything is fine now.
