Gas Giant Anomaly. Some assesment regarding entities required.

Lv 8 anomaly: Abandoned ship

(Possibly use vanilla knock-off? Though now there's little point.
A large ship appears to be parked in gas giant's atomsphere.

Resolution: Abandoned tanker

[Ship] reports that there was indeed a ship in the atmosphere of [Gas Giant]. It appears to be powered down and abandoned, left to drift on powerful atmospheric currents. Unusual features appear to be a series of still functioning light sources pulsing looped sequence of red, white, mauve and infra-red flashes and several hull breaches that seems to be originating from the inside.

Even though it appears to be unstable [Leader] requests permission to board the ship.

A large ship is left adrift inside a gas giant. We should investigate it.
(Requires level 4 scientist)

30% chance of contamination (Increased with "carefree" or "maniacal". Impossible for synth or machine leader)
30% chance of safe boarding (Increases with "spark of genius" and "meticulous")
30% of ship being destroyed (Increases for Substance Abuser)
10% of both ship and science ship being destroyed (Disable for spark of brilliance, rocketry or paranoid; Increase for Stubborn)

Contamination

[Ship] reports that mission to recover the derelict ship above [Gas Giant] failed.

The boarding party had found some kind of biological agent aboard the vessel. Several crew members had already died of exposure while [Leader] had called retreat. During the evacuation, hasty uncoupling had destabilized the ship, causing it to plummet into the depth of the gas giant.

[Leader] himself is currently under quarantine aboard the [Ship] due to suspected exposure and can not carry out his duties as a science officer.

Worrying
Exiles leader in question. Scheduling ship event in 3 months.

Leader is cleared for duty

Science officer [Leader], previously under quarantine due to suspected biohazard exposure on [Gas Giant] had been cleared of all possible contagion. He will be able to carry out his duties as a science officer again.

Ship disappeared

The [Ship], carrying [Leader], previously suspected to be exposed to mysterious contagion, had gone missing.

There is no indication what could've happened to it.

Safe boarding

[Leader] and his team have made an insertion into derelict tanker. Inside they have found remains of the crew, damaged beyond proper identification and partially fused with each other and ship's inner hulls, with contamination being more prominent near the reactor section. It appears the ship was designed to carry some kind of organic compound or organism that escaped the containment. The crew was likely killed by this it, but not before they managed to park the ship and set up some kind of of signal.

Ship Salvaged

(Level 5 project) On success:
[Leader] had managed to stabilize and re-activate the ship drifting in the atmosphere of [Gas Giant].

From the salvaged data cores it appears that ship, named "Genetic Destiny" was created by an advanced interstellar species caused Vel'Tarrak to study what they called "Herald" - some form of alien life they discovered in deep space. Specifically designed to handle volatile biomass and utilize it as a weapon as well as test subject, it had been dispatched for a field test, until a catastrophic leak caused widespread infection. The crew had shut down all the systems trying to starve the contagion of energy but failed. One after another they were consumed until last few survivors fled the ship, leaving behind biohazard warning marker.

Most of the now inert biomass infesting the ship had been cleared and ejected out of airlocks, however some was preserved for further use as a ship weapon. The vessel is now ready to serve in our fleet.

Excellent
Gain battleship-sized vessel carrying a few scourge-esque weapon and strike craft in addition to special XL kinetic weapon that is useless against shields and armour but devastating against hull. Uses "tanker" entity, if possible.

Biomass salvaged

(Level 5 project) On success:
[Leader] reports successful acquisition of data and samples of biomass infesting the ship. Due to ship's decaying orbit, they had to abandon it before transfer was fully complete, but findings were still significant.

Salvaged data indicates that ship is called "Genetic Destiny" and was created by an advanced interstellar species caused Vel'Tarrak to study what they called "Herald". "Herald" was some sort of alien organism discovered in deep space, and presumed to be of extra galactic origin, speculated to be an advanced bioweapon.

The purpose of it is unknown, however it has shown to be adept at both processing living tissue and most forms of energy into exponential growth, assimilating other beings if needed. It appears the ship suffered containment breach, causing most of the crew to be infected and be absorbed into "Herald" until survivors escaped, leaving behind the ship and a biohazard warning beacon. It appears, nobody ever came back for it over thousands of years.

Need to think of answers here. Possible rewards: gene modding or +5% permanent society speed.

Ship scuttled

(Level 3 project}
[Leader] reports successful destabilization of the ship in orbit above [Gas Giant].

The hulk has sunk into the deeper layers of atmosphered partially burnt by atmospheric friction and partially crushed by pressure. The mysterious contagion will never threaten anyone again.

Ship destruction

Due to harsh atmospheric conditions [Ship] was not able to dock properly to the ship drifting in [Gas Giant]'s atmosphere.

After several attempts, [Leader] opted to give up and leave the planet's upper atmosphere. Soon after, the drifting ship had plummeted to the depths of the giant.

Unfortunate
Gives leader rocketry expertise. If he already has it, give experience.

Critical failure

Atmosphere of [Gas Giant] had proven too much for our ship to handle.

During docking attempt [Ship] collided with the derelict ship causing both to plummet into the crushing depth of the gas giant.

Terrible news

Resolution: Slave Ship

[Ship] reports that vessel parked inside [Gas Giant] appears to be a cargo ship filled with cryo pods. Salvaged data cores indicate that the ship was operating as part of slave trade ring about a thousand years ago until crew mutinied over a pay dispute and accidentally vented ship's atmosphere during the infighting.

The only survivors appear to be slaves safely kept inside the pods and are now the only survivors of the incident.

Shut down the pods [Terminator or Purifier] (Gain unity)
Yummy [Devouring swarm] (Reuse "frozen snacks" modifier I guess - food over time.
We won't turn down free slaves/They can finally be free/They can finally get pampering they deserve (Prep pop a strong, industrious species with maybe a special trait to be more docile, but stupid, like proles. Start a loop for when you have enough space)
Put them on sale [Can't be genocidal, slavery is allowed or authoritarian, gestalt or corporate dominion] - run a diplomatic event to poll all the contacts one by one. If anyone chooses to agree, bounce back with energy payout, buyer gets its pop. If sales pitch didn't come through; bounce back requesting another decision.

Slave race candidates: Dwarves (HUM11); MAM13 (Weird things with ears); REP14 (Turtles); AVI13 (Big ugly birds) - eliminate picks for same species as owner and check for humanoid DLC.
