MO2 Cannot download from Nexus - Linux

The problem:

I cannot download mods from Nexus using MO2. I have used Firefox and Brave as browsers to see what is the issue.
When attempting on firefox, MO2 does show a dialog box without any text.
Brave on the other hand, shows a Open xdg-open Dialog (open link with associated app). This opens the Gnome app store and an error:

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Install FalloutNV from Steam

Install Linux 4GB Patch for game
Install xNVSE

2. Install ModOrganizer2 with the wizard for FalloutNV
3. Run Game
4. Link Nexus with MO2 (either browser or API Key)
5. Make Sure "Assosiate with Download..." button is clicked on Settings
6. Go to Nexus and try to download via Mod Manager
7. Error comes up:Failed to start download:

Environment:

• Mod Organizer Version that exhibits the issue: 2.5.2
• Desktop OS/version used to run Mod Organizer: Linux Mint 22.2 x86_64

They don't mention anything. Although it does seem to keep track that my API queues are being used:

@OfficePossum I play on Kubuntu and tbh have not gone to the trouble to get "download with manager" working. You can google how to do that and see if you find a solution that works on your version. The NaK installer is supposed to set that up for you but I have not tried it myself. https://github.com/SulfurNitride/NaK
