RFC: Add A Mute Feature #11
Comments
I don't think this would be in the spirit of MinerAp. I think that as in real life, one should just ignore annoying people. |
We do actually have a half-done mute feature, but it's not for player use. |
@averagestalker please reformat to follow this template: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MinerAp/minerap-rfc/master/0000-template.md |
I don't think it's logical to ban people for saying "faggot" or something along that lines, and at the same not allow players to mute someone who is degrading them constantly. In a server with so much to lose, toxic players are abound. Perhaps it could be made so mute only lasts a certain amount of time, rather than a perma-mute. |
@averagestalker I've updated your post to fit the template. |
Summary
Add a command to let players mute other players in-game.
Motivation
Certain players can be increasingly annoying in-game, so it may be advantageous to certain players to mute those who annoy them.
This could increase the gameplay experience for players who are annoyed by others.
Detailed design
There is currently a half-implemented mute feature, but it is not for player use.
Perhaps it could be adapted for this new functionality.
