Hello,

I'm using ExNihiloAdscensio for my small, makeshift skyfactory-ish pack (bad PC don't ask)..
But I noticed that I can't get iron, gold or ores from other mods (exp. Tinker's Ardite and Cobalt)

I know it used to give this (haven't played this mod in months).
Idk how to fix it, and config. file is just to scary for me.
:( :(

P.S. It's 1.10.2 MC version

Wish someone could help. Couldn't find a solution by myself. :(

Same for me. I managed to get Project Ozone Lite's config and remake it to my needs.

i'm having the same issue !! i also have a terrible pc but really wanted to play sky factory. so i slapped together only the most important mods and everything works great except ore chunks don't even exist in my game. i've watched others play (Achievement Hunter) and it says ore chunks and pieces and stuff are apart of the Ex Nihilo Adscensio mod and i have it installed but they don't show up in my game at all. not enough items doesn't show them and i can't get them in creative. i'm literally so confused and it took hours of searching the internet to find one other person that's having this problem (you). but seeing as we both have a makeshift sky factory mod pack it's making me think that's the reason why. but it doesn't make sense seeing as they're a part of a modpack we both have installed

@Tyranuss you have to copy over the ex adscensio config folder. it now contains json files that can be used to add sieve recipes and more.

This seems to happen in version above v17, since for the later versions OreRegistry.json is empty and SieveRegistry.json doesn't include any pieces or chunks

Figured out a solution, it's permanent (i think?) but requires some repetitive file changing

Short version : Get v17 and latest version, get the v17 text files for OreRegistry.json and SieveRegistry.json, then copy that in the latest version.

Explain to me like I'm 5 :

/Download both v17 and the version you want (latest is recommended!)
/Put the v17 in the mods folder, and if you had a more later version then delete the config for that file
/Delete the "exnihiloadscensio" folder in the "config" file in ".minecraft"
/Launch minecraft and play in a world
/Now the exnihilo config folder has been created
/Create a new folder in your desktop (
/Open the exnihiloadscensio folder in the config folder
/Open both "OreRegistry.json" and "SieveRegistry.json" as Notepad
/Create new text files in the folder you created on the desktop (for less confusion, name one /OreRegistry.json , and the other one "SieveRegistry.json"
/Copy whatever is in the OreRegistry.json to the text file, do the same with SieveRegistry.json
/Now you should have text files in the folder that you created on desktop that have the text from v17 /OreRegistry.json and SieveRegistry.json
/Delete the "exnihiloadscensio" folder in the "config" file, and do the same with the mod
Put the latest version in the mods file
/Launch minecraft and play in a world, which should create the new config folder
/Find OreRegistry.json and SieveRegistry.json in the new "exnihiloadscensio" folder
/Remove everything from them, and copy in the text that you have in your text files which is in your new folder on the desktop
/OreRegistry.json text which is in your folder on desktop needs to be copied in the main text file that is in your config folder, same with SieveRegistry.json
/Save it, and run minecraft, and it will all work 👍 (unless you did it wrong)

mcgay thanks for the info it worked and i can now get ores while sifting gravel. only problem is that i get it from only grave, sifting dust and sand and stuff does not give me anything other than the vanilla items. also sifting the gravel gives me crushed ores instead of broken ores which is weird.
