Describe the bug
I particularly noticed this on the Apex Omni exchange.
There would be periods where it keeps violently refreshing between 'Wallet not connected' and my wallet being connected.
Interval is approximately ever 2 seconds to every 5 seconds.
Sometimes it settles down. But then it triggers again if either I open another desktop app or another browser tab.
System:
Browser: Edge 131 64-bit
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Metamask extension: Version 11.16.14
Chain: BSC
Expected behavior
I should be able to just use the exchange and have my wallet stay connected.
I know this isn't an issue with the mobile versions.
I know Trust Wallet and Wallet Connect wallets work fine.

Steps to reproduce
Match system details in description (essentially Edge and Metamask)
Think most sites are ok, but Apex Omni seems troublesome.
If the page seems to load fine, try open a tab in another browser and load a webpage - a tradingview chart or youtube video seems particularly troublesome.
Navigate back to Omni and see if it starts refreshing the wallet connection.
