Could auto-detect common mismappings of unstandardized gamepads?

  • Weird axis dpads (see e.g. the DualShock 4's use of "hat-*-bit")
  • Mismapped axises (e.g. -1..+1 triggers)
  • Misbehaving axises (e.g. uninitialized data / misinterpreted accelerometer data)

This would probably only be terribly useful with a gamepad remapping UI or similar...
