Hi Mark, htanks for a nice contribution.
I cannot fo rthe ilfe of me yet see how to set up jrnl within dmenu extended, after careful examination of plugin file, and attepting operation.
I accept the basic requests as offerd by the sub-menu's , by presing tab to select, follwed by enter. but nothing seems ot be accomplished by that. I have an existing ~/journal.txt. Each time I select the 'jrnl command form dmenu, it repeates the same process.

I tried editing plugin_jrnl.py, but ot no avail.
Could you give me some hints. I imagine \i'm supposed ot be able to make new entries fom dmenu, and possible view them too.

Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Thanks for letting me know.
It looks like the interface to jrnl has changed since the plugin was made so the plugin isn't able to properly interact with jrnl.
Unfortunately, I'm not using jrnl any longer and can't afford the time to maintain that plugin.
Sorry for the confusion you faced trying to get it to work!
Unless you're willing to take a look and see if you can get the plugin working, I think the best course of action is to remove the plugin from the repositories.

Thanks for your time, sorry I couldn't be more help.

Mark
