Hello, is it possible to provide it with a .obj input?

You will first need to align the SMPL body model to your .obj mesh to get the vectors betas and thetas.

Hi, you can also try this tool by meshcapade to convert a 3D mesh of a person into a SMPL mesh:
https://me.meshcapade.com/from-scans

(I haven't tried it by myself)
