Hi,
Until IOS 18, Loop’s Legacy app widget was perfect, it was updating regularly, showing insulin-on-board and showing the status of pod. With IOS 18 ( which does not support Legacy widgets anymore), we have to use the modern widget (as it is called, I guess). The main issue is that it doesn’t update and I need to use it just to open the app. Also , it doesn’t have the insulin-on-board. I’m not sure if you can make widget to update regularly on iPhones, but it seems that the Loop widget on Apple Watch updates when it is opened. So it will be more useful if the widget shows the insulin-on-board and the pod’s insulin level, because these are the information we need when looking at the widget, without having to open the app. The other buttons such as eventual blood sugar, activity or insulin delivery are not really needed in the widget or at least have less value. When I want to take more insulin, I need to know how much insulin I already have on board anyway. Again, I think, the main purpose of the widget is, first, to get the critical information I need without having to open the app.
Thank you for taking your time to look into this item. I am very happy with the app , but this issue with the widget after updating my phone to IOS 18 has been an inconvenience for me, and I’m sure for other people as well. Internet is full of complains about losing their Legacy widgets after updating to IOS 18.
