Description
All but the first issue are a duplicate of #293
I apologize for my incompetence.
OS:
Windows 10 Pro
Mod loader:
Fabric 0.16.14
Bug Description:
World Save on Fireball Parry with Ultrakill Mode Enabled (the mod "Better F3" has been enabled for these screenshots to enhance clarity, however, the bug is still present without it)
Deflecting ghast fireballs with "Ultrakill" set to "Yes" occasionally results in severe FPS loss (not pictured, possibly incidental) and always results in severe TPS loss. This is after obtaining the "Return to Sender" advancement.
Based on the console output, it appears as if, every time a ghast fireball is deflected, the server is told to save the game for some reason. The TPS loss does not occur after opening the server to LAN, however, neither does the Ultrakill parry effect.
"Ultrakill" set to "Yes" (each purple bar on the right-side graph demarcates previous fireball deflections)
"Ultrakill" set to "No" (having just deflected several fireballs, one of which is frustratingly hiding half behind a potion particle)
Additionally, "Saving world" text can be seen in the lower-right of the screen at the moment of deflection.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create new Fabric instance of Minecraft 1.21.1 (with ATLauncher, in my case)
- Place the following mods in the instance's "mods" folder:
- Open Minecraft
- Create / join a world
- Perform observations made above
Missing Effects (Ignore unless you're not a dev and you're as confused as I once was):
For the following screenshots:
- The Minecraft setting "Particles" has been set to "All"
- The Random Block Display Frequency Multiplier has been turned up to 25.0, and the Close Distance has been reduced to 0 to ensure I'm not just being unlucky.
- No error or warning messages can be seen in the console at the times the listed visual effects should have taken place.
- All unmentioned visual effects are presumably working as expected.
- All screenshots taken in the Fabric loader, as I did not have time to check that all these specific effects don't work in Quilt as well, all I know is that most don't.
Lapis Lazuli block update particle chance
Even with "Lapis Lazuli block update particle chance" turned all the way up to 10, no additional cascade particles are generated from flowing water blocks as a result of updating lapis lazuli blocks.
Allay Trails and Twinkles
Despite having the "Enable Allay trails" setting set to "Trail and Twinkle", no allays produce trails or twinkles.
Screen Shake
Screen shake appears to never work, neither at its default nor maximum multiplier, no matter the event that should trigger it (tested with all listed events in survival and creative mode).
Will O' Wisp
No will o' wisps were observed after spending 5 or so minutes in a Soul Sand Valley biome.
Eyes in the Dark
Eye effects do not appear when set to "Always", no matter the light level, no matter the brightness setting, no matter the phase of the moon, no matter the cave or surface biome.
Improved Fireballs
Enabling "Improved Fireballs" disables the flame particle effect on the ghast's fireball with no replacement.
"Improved Fireballs" set to "Yes"
"Improved Fireballs" set to "No"
Improved dragon fireballs and breath
No visual effects are added to the ender dragon's fireballs when "Improved Dragon Fireballs and Breath" is set to "Yes".
"Improved Dragon Fireballs and Breath" set to "Yes"
"Improved Dragon Fireballs and Breath" set to "No"
Effective completely disables the ender dragon's lingering breath effects completely, no matter whether "Improved Dragon Fireballs and Breath" is set to "Yes" or "No"(you'll just have to trust me that there's a pool of dragon's breath in these two).
"Improved Dragon Fireballs and Breath" set to "Yes" (notice the damage tilt from having stepped in the dragon's breath)
"Improved Dragon Fireballs and Breath" set to "No"
Improved Glow Squid Particles
Setting "Improved Glow Squid Particles" to "Yes" disables glow squid particles completely with no replacement (ink remains unchanged, but I don't think that's supposed to be affected anyways).
"Improved Glow Squid Particles" set to "Yes"
"Improved Glow Squid Particles" set to "No"
Spectral Arrows Trails
When "Spectral Arrows Trails" is set to "Trail and Twinkle", no additional particle effects are visible.
Sculk Dust Density
No Sculk dust particles are visible in the Deep Dark biome when "Sculk Dust Density" is set to its default value of 100.
