That number is always an average number, we cant call a representative because maybe we can read super fast or we can read super slow (like me) and we cant install a simple AI or "reading time rankings" like some games just for the calculations... Even in the app there is a warning that that number is only a "theoretical" number, but in reality its never completely correct :p |

There's no need to use ML, isnt it simple to find the average time for the user and show the estimate according to it? |

The app has the estimated reading time feature, but it's never correct. Based on my observations, it just multiples the number of chapters by a constant reading time to measure the total time.
First of all, correct me if I'm wrong. Because it ALWAYS takes 3 or 4 times the estimate. Even though the reading statistics are enabled. It just records the total time taken to read a manga. It could find the avg as well.
Then, a good way to make this useful would be to find the average time a user takes to read a single chapter and then multiply it by the total/remaining chapters.
