My question is which emulator does it use? Does it use something like BizHawk, mGBA, VBA, batgba, no$gba, or another one that I don't know.

I ran it with bizhawk using the lua console and the 1-9.lua files. You run them in order and start the next one when the prior one finishes.

It uses bizhawk specifically, as the code makes use of several functions provided by the bizhawk client.
