Mods installation problem (windows) #4436

I am unimaginably incompetent regarding literally anything about computers so perhaps this may or may not be an easy fix: I have basically gotten KSP (off of steam) and CKAN at most 2 months ago. When I first downloaded it, it worked fine, the mods worked and whatnot. However, recently (today) I tried to install a compatible part mod and it didn't work. (bear with me here) I've looked at like every guide, and did the game directory thing like 3 times and whatever else I thought of to the best of my ability (not very much) Am I missing something? Like I did the same stuff the first time around and it worked a-okay. (please help me)

Hi @bobthebuilding1312, so far the thing this looks like that we've seen most often is when somebody installs mods into one game folder and then opens a different folder to check if they're installed. If you can share a full screenshot of the CKAN window, we could check whether that's what's happening. Good luck! |

when i double click on the content file it just opens the Kerbal Space Program folder

Wow, that's really surprising! What's in your installation filters window? Maybe you've got a filter that matches all files?
