Q: Does npm install expect support custom matchers?

I'm trying to do this:
node file.js

const expect = require('expect')
expect.extend(jasmineExpect)
expect('').toBeEmptyString()

I've not attempted this before @dave-dm, I would be interested though if you manage to find any documentation on this.
