I used newsmap.jp a lot in the past. One request....newsmap.jp used to show a popup with the brief of the news story on mouse hover. Wondering if you can do that.

I found a screenshot of the feature you describe on newsmap.jp.

Unfortunately the feed from Google News does not include the story brief any more. In fact several years ago they even stopped providing images in the feed which used to be supported by NewsMap.JS.

A feature which might possibly be useful to you is the listing of different sources after you click a story. It shows the different headlines from each source, which I often find useful for getting a little more context before visiting one of the sources.
