Pass argument to ABCSMC

I need to pass an argument to the distance function used by pyabc.ABCSMC() but I find no way to do so. This is a small example of what I mean:

def model(parameter):
    return {"data": parameter["mu"] + 0.5 * np.random.randn()}

def distance(x, x0, extra_arg):
    return abs(x["data"] - x0["data"]) * extra_arg


extra_arg = some extra argument required by the distance function

prior = pyabc.Distribution(mu=pyabc.RV("uniform", 0, 5))
abc = pyabc.ABCSMC(model, prior, distance)

I would do something like:

abc = pyabc.ABCSMC(model, prior, distance, dist_args={extra_arg})

but the ABCSMC class does not appear to support passing extra arguments like that.

Indeed, you cannot pass these kind of extra arguments to ABCSCM. But would that work for you?

from functools import partial
distance_ = partial(distance, extra_arg=extra_arg)
abc = pyabc.ABCSMC(model, prior, distance_)
