Adding support for Debian (sid/experimental)

Greetings. I'm the maintainer of Hyprplus, a project to bring Hyprland and hypr* software to Debian native packages.
I've been using Hyprland on KDE neon (0.39), on Debian via APT (0.41) and currently running Hyprland latest git commit on Debian sid.
Debian 13 (trixie) detached from unstable branch a few days ago, thus restarting the package curation process for Debian sid (unstable) from Debian experimental. Some of these packages allows C++26 binaries to be compiled and run e.g. GCC 15, G++15, the updated libstdc++,... Hyprland requires systems that support C++26.
There is virtually no support for Hyprland on Debian at the moment. There is JaKoolIt install script and dotfiles, but that's for version 0.41. I also maintain a spinoff of that dotfiles, but never had time to create an install script for it.
So today I'm here to asking for official cooperation in porting all the install script to Debian. I have forked your repo ahd have been making progression on it (offline, not synced to GitHub yet). For now it's just me with my very limited bash skill and multiple AI agents. I need some people with proficiency in bash to rewrite the install script in bash while I take care on the dependencies not available in Debian sid repo.

Hi @imchocomint Is it possible to just bootstrap the dotfiles but with separate installation script?

So for a while now I am using the built-in pm.sh in the HyDE lib. I think we can use this to check if package is installed and ideally support paru yay pacman apt dnf zypper apk brew scoop flatpak

I am planning to rework the whole installation process in the future as it is too specific and not flexible. What we can do in HyDE restoring part. Which checks if the package is installed or not. the installer only needs to have the packages ready. That's actually neat. The problem is not all needed software is directly available on all of the default repo of the package managers. We need a more efficient way to install outer package.

I've been writing install scripts for wallust and swww for Debian. So the install script need to be able to detect what is the distro and use specific ways to install the required packages. These specific way can be a mix of package manager installs with bash script or just either of the two. So porting to differrent package manager could be easier: declare the package manager of the distro then write install scripts.

From then we can use a specific script to install the dotfiles. And that's much neater.

so the current installation works like this:

1. Prepare package list
2. Install Packages
3. Restore Configs
4. And So on

so steps 3 and 4 we can add it to HyDE's current codebase. We can just use fallbacks in checking the existence of the package, for example if commands exist.

Steps 1 and 2 should be separated. As stated you already got this setup right?

After steps 1 and 2, 3 will just check if it is installed if the package is installed then populate the config.
