C'Man (in older versions: CMan) is a server manager tool written in Batchcode by Weegeebot developer Fniux.

History

The younger C'Man editions conflated of two independent versions with different appropriations.

Serv-Man

When speaking about C'Man's history, Serv-Man is despite its more remote porpuse counted as the lawful ancestor of the merged line. Its ultimate origin is a file called start.bat, saved on Feburary 3, 2016. Its only task is to start a dedicated Garry's Mod server with predefined values.

The earliest preserved version of Serv-Man Version 4.4 dates to April 17, 2016. It includes a rudimental interface to execute different commands, of whom some have been retaken in slightly improved or modified form in the recent C'Man versions. Among others, it allows to open several server-relevant folders and to choose different starting modes for the dedicated Garry's Mod folder. Furthermore, it includes a simple start-stop support for a TeamSpeak 3 server and is able to shut down all server-relevant processes over the CMD-internal /taskkill routine. However, since its use was entirely in private hand and not thought to be published, the internal variables remain unchangable and the Batch is only executable in the same folder as the dedicated Garry's Mod root path.
