@imLinguin This is really weird. legendary is reporting that the game doesn't support Cloud Saves, but the EGS page clearly states otherwise. Do you know if EOS SDK provides any APIs for Cloud Saves that the game could be using directly? |
I remember when The Outer Worlds was free on epic, something like this happened, but eventually it got fixed but I think legendary can have an old version of the metadata locally. check in backup that file and remove it from there, and let legendary get a new version of the file (like, open heroic and it will fetch the metadata, or run the info command again), maybe that will have the cloud saves attribute |
I have had the same problem with the majority of my GOG games in Heroic on Steam Deck, even though GOG Galaxy supports cloud saves for all of them and they show up on my GOG cloud save management webpage. I haven't noticed a rhyme or reason to which ones display the tab/option for save syncs and which don't. I have been unsure where to look for answers. (Apologies if this reply is in bad form or placed badly. I'm not familiar with github) |
can you share some examples of games that don't show the cloud saves? one thing to note is that if you install linux native version of games, those version don't support cloud saves as a limitation of GOG, make sure you check using the windows version of the game in linux |
OH! OK, it looks like that's why. I've been mostly letting Heroic do default installations and configurations, and I figured "well, native Linux version is better, right?" Sorry for hijacking the thread/report, I couldn't find documentation that answered this. |
That reminds me, I've always wanted to add the |
