Optional params for --split-horizontal and --split-vertical not included on Manjaro guake (version 3.11.dev0)

Hello,
as noted in the title, the Manjaro version does not include #2208 despite seemingly being a version number ahead. It is to mention that pacman regards this as version 3.10-4 since reinstalling guake with pacman -S guake=3.10 yields the same version text:

Guake Terminal: 3.11.dev0
VTE: 0.78.4
VTE runtime: 0.78.4
Gtk: 3.24.49

The missing optional parameter is also visible through the help text. If I print help, the Manjaro 3.11.dev0/3.10-4 version states:

  --split-horizontal    Split the selected tab horizontally.

Which differs from the expected help line in main.py:

guake/guake/main.py

The questions for me are now:

1. Do I need to build guake myself in order to use the optional parameter on those options or is there a pre-compiled build for Manjaro (README only mentions to use pacman)?
2. Why is it not included in the "dev" version of guake? Is there even a dev-version or lies the issue on Manjaros side?

After some investigation it is clear to me, that Manjaro/Arch uses only the official releases of 3.10, which is tagged to commit a011f8a. Since this release is now nearly two years old (May 2023), the changes of #2208 aren't distrubuted to Arch (and very likely any other Linux distributions).

Are there issues which prevent making a new release?
