Please support other authentication methods instead of username / password like oauth or a textfield to add an crsf-cookie at least because some companies doesn't allow to use username / passwords as credentials.

@ffischer1984 Oauth2 is already supported. It's not inside the current docs, but you can configure an Oauth2 client application in GeoNode, which acts as an Oauth2 provider. Then you can configure the Oauth2 authentication in QGIS accordingly.
You can configure an Oauth2 application in GeoNode by going to Admin -> Django Oauth Toolkit -> Applications.
We will keep this issue around as a note for improving the documentation.
