Python 2.x has been EOLed more than 4.5 years ago.
Oct this year will be EOLed python 3.8.
IMO it is time to prepare on master which will drop python<=3.8.

This has been discussed a few times on various occasions. We'd like to drop Python 2 while doing a major version bump to pwntools 5. Work on typing stubs already began too. You're welcome to join our Discord, the steps to be done haven't been formalized yet.
