Description

I'm seeing the this issue since a17885e with a create-snowpack-app template. The updated snowpack config file is causing the problem. Already took a look at #1458 but seems not related.

In general the logs are caused by https://github.com/snowpackjs/snowpack/blob/main/plugins/plugin-react-refresh/plugin.js#L70

Logs

App.js:10 @snowpack/plugin-react-refresh: HTML setup script not run. React Fast Refresh only works when Snowpack serves your HTML routes. You many want to remove this plugin.

Reproduce

$ node --version
v14.15.0
$ npx create-snowpack-app new-dir --template @snowpack/app-template-react
$ cd new-dir
$ npm start

Setting the mount.public.static option to false.

Thanks for filing! You're right, this was an issue with changing the default templates to use static by default. your current workaround makes sense, and then the next patch of Snowpack later today will add support for this.
