LogManager: Option to toggle alternative view #129
Comments
From what I understand, you want to view the path of logged items but not filter anything out based on specific path. So your request is actually changing the view from filename / title to path. There is already an option to change the view to be paths, that is not sufficient due to some reason? |
But wouldn't changing the view to file-paths show me the file-paths all the time instead of the names? I don't need to see the directory paths all the time. I want both things, sometimes I have multiple files with the same name and it's not possible to tell which directory the file is playing out of so I need the option to filter things out based on the path, but also want to change the view from filename to filepath on demand to see it for a file when I need to. For example lets say when LogManager is open, I press a button for e.g Tab and that changes the view from filename to filepath temporarily and then when I hit the Tab button again, it changes the view back to Filenames. Like that. |
It is a good idea to have. I believe an option to customize and trigger alternative view for the list items in the log manager will serve as a customisable and good approach to handle this. |
Thanks; when you toggle the view, plis allow searching using Ctrl+F normally as it still is. Oh btw, I don't plan to let you enjoy your vacations haha. |
Similar to how we have filters in the LogManager like recents, distinct, fileonly, keywords etc, can we get an additional filter named path? Sometimes I need to look at the full path of the file of items that are in the history/bookmarks and having this filter would really help out.
Thank you.
