Resource Registration - a working example of resources (datasets) to register

In the Deployment Guide the command to register sample resource (dataset) is given as:

Of course, this does not work. Please provide a working example with a real dataset to register and correctly set values for source and target.

Also, since there are many types of resources that can be registered, please try to provide examples for at least some of them.
