Audio But No Video with -vulkan #176
-
|
After having not used Hypseus for some time (I previously had everything up and running properly) I updated to the latest version, and after moving my .bat files to the batch directory (I think this is new) I am able to launch games again, but I have audio only with a black screen for video. Just wondering if there were any changes over the last several updates that would cause this video blackout. Would like to get everything running again... thanks for the help. This is a Win11 PC nvidia 4070. After playing around with the .bat file, it looks like it might be related to the -vulkan command. Is this no longer necessary? |

Thanks for the reply. If you meant why did I use the argument... I had always thought it was necessary to use -vulkan. If you meant why do I use vulkan, in general... over the years with many emulators in Retroarch and standalone, since vulkan has been available, it's offered a lot of various advantages performance, feature, compatibility with hdr, shaders, etc... so that I always choose it over opengl or d3d. It's just always my first choice. Thanks again for your help. :) |

Hiya, yes there was a change in the startup behavior in
2.11.5that seems to have affected Vulkan on Windows. It's a known issue and will be fixed in the next release.
You are now only one of a few users to have run into this. Can I ask why you use the
-vulkanargument for the record?Unless your setup has a necessity for
-vulkanto run, removing it should revert to OpenGL and work in the meantime.
