Palindrome Checker

This is a JavaScript function that checks if a given string is a palindrome. It removes non-alphanumeric characters and converts the string to lowercase before performing the palindrome check.

Function

    function palindrome(str) {
    // Remove non-alphanumeric characters and convert to lowercase
    let cleanStr = str.replace(/[\W_]/g, "").toLowerCase();
    
    // Reverse the cleaned string
    let reversedStr = cleanStr.split("").reverse().join("");
    
    // Check if the cleaned string is equal to the reversed string
    return cleanStr === reversedStr;
    }

The function returns true if the input string is a palindrome, and false otherwise.

Note: The function treats alphanumeric characters as case-insensitive, and ignores non-alphanumeric characters during the palindrome check.
