Since VSCode is in the recommended setup along with some extensions, it would be useful to provide a devcontainer that set everything up.

Is their example of this tool in the wild?

This template repository use it.

Additional context

Lots of people like to develop in Containers to have a clean system. With this, it is possible to work without any installation (except for VS Code, its Remote Dev Container extension, and Docker).

Once you've opened the repository, a prompt will appear requesting to reopen the project within a container, like this:

• Check the feature is not already implemented in the project.
• Check that there isn't already an issue that request the same feature to avoid creating a duplicate.
• Check that the feature can be implemented in a client side only app (IT-Tools is client side only, no server).
