Without having investigated yet, an obvious measure would be reducing the frequency of the matcher (the worker that downloads keys, matches against the stored TCNs and downloads the reports). Currently it's 15 mins.

I did an ~8 hr test last night with CoEpi in the background (not the active app) on a Pixel 3.
