Want to join in the discussion? You can do that in two ways! You can either authorize the giscus app to post on your behalf using the GitHub OAuth flow. Alternatively, you can comment in GitHub Discussions directly if you'd prefer not to grant access to the giscus app. Please keep the discussion on topic with the post. |

@chrisreddington Your post regarding automatic updates to GH projects is just great, super helpful. Just to be sure, since you are granting permission at the org. level, do you have to add that action workflow to each repository within the organization for which you want issues and pull requests to populate in the project? I ask as what I would like ideally is for that functionality applied to all repos associated with my (preferably) user or (not as great, each org.) in one place rather than having to add the action workflow to each existing and new repository. Thanks! |

In a couple of previous blog posts, I provided a writeup on the GitHub Projects Beta. I wrote two posts on automation within GitHub Projects (Adding Issues to GitHub Projects with GitHub Actions for a user profile and Adding Issues to GitHub Projects with GitHub Actions for an Organization profile). I'm pleased to say that the capabilities went Generally Available last week! As a result of the GA announcement and resulting changes, I need to post updates to my older samples.
