Since #75236 great update exploring the map has become not only more interesting, but also more difficult, as objects are revealed at a very close distance, which forces you to explore "point-blank" even those objects that you would think could be identified from afar (mansions, factories, radio towers, etc.).
The Scout (EAGLEEYED) mutation is a great help in this matter, increasing the distance for identification and surpassing even binoculars in its usefulness. However, it can only be "legally" obtained through the "BIRD", "MOUSE" and "CEPHALOPOD" mutation branches. Although earlier, as far as I remember, it was also available in the list of starting traits.
