Fix wren-launcher for headless linux?

Hi, I was having trouble with the wren-launcher script, and noticed that it was relying on Docker Desktop being available and not just the docker engine.
I can see the issue was already brought up here: wren-launcher is incompatible with headless linux.
A simple solution was found, but I think the issue was closed without the script actually being fixed? If it's preferable that docker desktop is the first hit, could there be a fallback to ordinary docker?

Just to motivate the reason for using Wren in such a setting, I want to use a local LLM running on a GPU, and in my case that GPU is on an external server that I access remotely.
