Can I pass the value of a variable created with update state within my application to a REST query?

This is a completely newbie question

• I am using Budibase Internal DB.

• I have a simple API server that takes a message parameter and outputs its contents to the screen.

• I have a simple query named 'Sender' that sends the message to API server

• What I am trying to do is this.

  1. In the application, enter A, B, C into the temp variable when BA, BB, BC buttons are clicked.
  2. pass the contents of the temp variable to the sender query
  3. Execute sender query
  4. API server outputs A or B or C to the screen

• How do I pass a specific variable value to the query from the application?

The budibase documentation already showed how to do it.
Just look at the rest api binding part.
After creating a binding item, execute rest api inside the application, and you will see a screen where you can substitute variables for the binding variables I created earlier.
