Maintenance state of LdapBundle

I'm just wondering if the project is going to be maintained any more. Since there are a couple of issues worth being solved (or discussed/tested/pulled) it may make sense to find some new maintainer - if you, Boris, are too busy for going on with that.

LDAP is (and will be) - though a bit antiquated - a technology widely integrated in userland (especially larger companies relying on e.g. AD), furthermore the role of Symfony2 as a "complete" PHP framework is unquestionable high. So interest for a stable and maintained SF2 ldap-bundle should still be given. (I'm currently using my own fork of LdapBundle in real world project having a pull request merged I deadly needed - not the most satisfying way of doing it.)

I'm not that kind of buddy with big OSS and maintenance background so far, but that's something I want to make more experiences with, so I thought this might be a good starting point...

If you don't mind, I offer myself for giving my best in bringing this project up-to-date. I'm active as a developer in several mid-size and large projects with some good experience in PHP (vanilla, SF2, Slim), JavaScript (vanilla, node.js, react, angular).

Any comments / better ideas?

Thanks, @javiermadueno, for supporting this thought. Would be great if others would post their opinion about this as well and point out some features or fixes they are missing most.

Since Boris doesn't seem to answer, I'm probably going push my own fork towards a more up-to-date state by merging (maybe discussing} several pull requests that are currently on-hold right here. I will try keeping up maintenance for the forked version for as long as others are willing to get involved or even until Boris returns (and perhaps re-integrates the fork).

In package.json the license is defined as CeCILL which is a license type that originated in France and stated as to be compatible with GPL. So I don't see any problems with using, forking, changing and re-distributing the code. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Currently I can't detach my time to support this Bundle. I can read many
interesting thing about this bundle like PR and improvement.

So, I can add a maintainer on this project to continue the development.
But who will take this succession ?

Hi Boris,

thanks for your reply! Yes, feel free to add me as maintainer - as stated before, I could offer to take over some maintenance work for this project as long as possible and as good as I can.

Time is a rarity for me as well but I would definitely go and do my best to take over some responsibility for adding and merging frequently requested features and pull-requests and push the project a bit towards "2015".

I would of course appreciate if I can still directly ask you if there's doubt about some features or design strategy but that could happen on an issue/comments basis I think.

Go on - it's about to improve code and completing features :)

Boris, more time passed and even more issues (and custom forks) appeared. It would be a shame if your great work would be discontinued... catching up all that issues is already quite some work! I do understand that your time is limited and other stuff has priority. But would you mind just adding me or some other trustful person as an additional maintainer? Or, at least, give us a short information about the exact CeCILL license type, tell us if it's truly GPL compatible, so some of us could go and create a fork that officially integrates new features, fixes bugs and moves this project a big step forward? We might re-integrate it with your original project later on...
