A Farm Level Open Source Simulation
FLOSS is a farm simulation, aimed at improving understanding of farm systems, and in particular how climate impacts individual farms. This app aims to include three elements: a wiki documenting the FLOSS code; an interface allowing users to enter the model imputs and run a simulation of a particular farm; a user guide for this web interface.
Contributors to various aspects of this project are welcomed.

- e.g. implementing a model determining crop quality based on climate over the growing season
- research for the FLOSS model
- e.g. research into the best mathematical models to form the basis of the relationship between crop quality and livestock performance.
- testing of the FLOSS code
- e.g. setting up unit tests
- FLOSS Model evaluation
- Full project comparing model predictions to actual farm performance.

Constraints: My (Ben Latham's) work on this project is as part of my MSc degree, as such it is important that all work on this project is clearly atributed to whomever carries out said work. In order to facilitate this I would ideally like to discuss the role any contributors will play before they begin work.

Installation can be carried out as follows:
- Download the version you wish to install from the /dist/ directory e.g. download floss-agricultural-simulation-0.1.tar.gz
- Open a terminal and navigate to the directory where you have saved the tar file
- activate your virtual environment in this terminal
- run
pip install filenamewhere "filename" is the name of the downloaded file
