Squeezelite Sound Quality Sutters after an hour or so of playback

I've noticed this behavior with my Squeezlite installation on my RaspberryPi 4b using the AudioInjector Stereo card over the years. After a couple of hours of playback... perhaps less or more, the sound quality starts "stuttering". A simple "Pause" of the playback and resuming seems to resolve the issue. Below is a link to a sample recording where I managed to capture this behavior. At 17 seconds in, I pause and then resume the playback and the problem resolves... However, after another hour or so of playback it will return. Any ideas how I might begin troubleshooting this issue?
