Combine Marine and Migratory Lists - use SPRAT list #12
Comments
Hi @TaniaGLaity - could you provide a few more details, pls? I.e., provide links to the existing lists that will be removed and merged and link to the target list to include these (or specify if a new list?). FYI, I think this will need to be incorporated into the Python scripts that Amanda maintains - that automate the updating of the authoritative lists content. It will then need to be tested in Pipelines databox, so DM team needs to make changes to the pipelines config I think. Last step is making any needed changes to the front-end code (this repo). |
this new list will replace: If this list https://lists.ala.org.au/speciesListItem/list/dr656 can contain the extra columns as per the download mentioned above - then you could update dr656. if it can't then, the new list will also replace https://lists.ala.org.au/speciesListItem/list/dr656 |
hey @nickdos , this may be a question for you and @peggynewman , but I just had a chat with Tania to clarify a few things about what will go in the list. I'm happy to update the EPBC list with these extra columns; however, if I add these extra columns and we remove the duplicate lists, what systems will it break? Are there specific column names I should include that will make lives easier? |
I'll leave that question to @peggynewman |
Combined list (rather than separate lists) for JAMBA, CAMBA, ROCKAMBA, Bonn - plus include EPBC Act Marine species - use SPRAT as the source - https://www.environment.gov.au/sprat-public/action/report - can download csv with EPBC Act Migratory, Bonn, CAMBA, JAMBA ROCKAMBA, Marines Status, Cetacean columns selected.
