Symbol in Italian keyboard disapperared

I the Italian keyboard the apostrophe symbol diaspperared. (This one: ' )
Since it is very important and the auto correct doesn't suggest to automatically add it to a word, makes it very difficult to write

I'm also an italian user.
On mine it appears in the normal keyboard only.
In specific contexts it doesn't normally appear. For example, if you are writing an URL in the browser, some key are changed to fit the context (a .com key appears). If you are writing in an email field, the @ character appears and it substitutes another key, because it is more useful in that context.
So, in which context do you need the apostrophe but it's not present on the keyboard?
