How to call Alt-F4?

I want to close application (emulator etc) using my gamepad. Tried calling Alt-F4 using these methods, none works.

(Join Alt+F4)

Tried Alt-Space-C using these methods, none works.

(Join Alt+Space, C)
(Join Alt+Space+C)

Any advice?
