Antares >=v8.6 introduced Short-Term Storage objects. But, the study-cleaner deletes the st-storage directory.

Study cleaner tool is deprecated and has been removed

What were your use cases of this tool ?

I wasn't aware that the study cleaner tool is deprecated, but the option is still available, at least in windows versions 8.6.6 and 8.8.5.
The only use case was, to reduce the study size in cases of renaming/deleting areas or clusters. As far as I observe, if an area or cluster is renamed or deleted, the files that refer to the old area/cluster name persist in the study, even though they are ignored.

For example, if an area is renamed, which contained 100 thermal clusters, of 100 availability timeseries each, then, around 300MB of unused text files remain in the study as "zombies".
