The current algorithm will ignore text nodes in shadow DOM for web components. See this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1f6r3ey/documentcreatetreewalker_for_shadow_dom/

Example: timestamps on GitHub.

GitHub page for a repository, with all text and images blurred out except for date timestamps.
